Lives and works in London
Julian Opie´s practice delves into the idea of the representation and the means by which images are perceived and understood. Drawing on the visual language of contemporary life, and with an interest in the reflection and representation of reality, Opie’s work is defined by a stripped-down vocabulary of schematic lines and blocks of colour. The artist works with various cutting edge, but also with traditional techniques, to demonstrate a visual and spatial experience.
